Default Party Food Boxes

For my daughter's recent birthday party I decided to do food boxes instead of buffet-style party food and found that it worked really well and meant that there were not many left-overs.

Basically, with the invites I sent a little tick list with choices under various headings, for example - Sandwich: ham, jam, cheese spread; crisps: ready salted, quavers, hula hoops. I had choices for sandwich, crisps, other savoury (sausage roll, scotch egg), drink, chocolate item, fruit, veg (carrot sticks/cucumber etc). Then I bought some food boxes off eBay (the cardboard type) and then prepared them before I went to the party venue. When it was food time I just gave each child their box so they got exactly what they wanted to eat and any leftovers were just left in the box if appropriate and taken home! I also then used the boxes to put a few sweets in to take home instead of a party bag.

It all worked well so thought I'd share my idea
